I think you do rebuy them, but at a highly diounted pre - 99% sure this is right (someone who knows the ext mhans plsorrt me). Know this before going Felguard: You must support him. It's well worth it for me, but for other lks - they hate it. You must get mana feed - maybe 13, 23 - or 33 like me. And imho you must adjust your play to drain hunting to keep the Felg full. I do demoaff to max my draining and dots, bause most of my fighting is that, esp pve. Get any talent that amps up the Felg's ability to survive and ireases his damage (and mana pool). Also max out the ... gah, forgot the name - the one we use to hurt ourselves and heal our pets. That's how you heal him. You do want that sp. The Felg is awesome, but you must know how to use him right - or you'll hate him. Seah for moreomplete diussions in this forum. Also, know that if he gets banished, you're gimped for a while. When you see a lkoming near you, go for him. Save until he'sasting "banish" - he'll have trouble getting it off w your Felg on him - and that's when you him. When the lk you don't see banishes your Felg, that's when it's a good time to go very defensive - or get out of range if youan - or just do what youan.
Yes you have to go bk and buy it. It sks but thats just the way it is 
I am respcing every 2 weeks or so, just to put 2-3 points here or there, but I always keep 41 at least in demo and I never had to buy my felguards abilities again. ant say what happens if you go affltion or destro for a while and then bk to demo, but shouldnt be mh different, I mean respcing is respcing right? You loose your pet the moment you resp. Though I remember the time when it wasnt so...
