Well as for Shadow priests, you should be able to burn them down in NO time. Make sure you are using viper sting to drain their mana, and if you have a cat, prowl the cat and sick him on them right away, that way they will think it is a druid sometimes and concentrate on him giving you a few seconds to do something. If you have a boar, charge. Make sure you are using ALL your Cooldowns (intimidation, bw, rapid fire, trinket) They all come back each arena game. Been doing 2v2 arena now for a month or so... Me, a BM spec hunter, teamed with a subtlety rogue. On any given night we're usually right about at .500 wins/losses, except for last night...
3 matches in a row, we got stuck facing two moderately geared shadow priests. It eventually just got easier to just stand there and wait to lose than to even try. Even when the rogue could CC one, what defense is there against being instantly hit with enough debuffs that they practically run off the screen before my pet can even get to the closest opponent, shields that absorb all initial damage from me that apparently have no significant cooldown and pets that do as much damage as my own? Before I can even begin to get past the shield in order to be doing damage, I'm already down 60 or more. And I'm fairly loaded up with +stam. (10127 hp)
Sure, load up on shadow resist, but the trade off is lower damage output and/or much lower stamina. And then shadow resist is useless vs non-casters. So, what? Carry around 6 sets of armor?
Short of hiring a pally to stand there doing nothing but dispell work, is there really any defense against two casters like this? Is there some trinket I should have been carrying around since level 30?-Armory sheet
