Wow, that's a lot of questions.
Spec is really up to you and what you enjoy more. I found feral to be very efficient and great for leveling. Not much downtime required between fights. But, I planned all along on being feral at 70, so I never went any other route. I can't compare it to Boomkin.
Travel form is one speed (40) and it doesn't get upgraded. Land mounts are always faster. Regular mount is 60, epic mount is 100.
As for what to do at 70, it's really up to you. Tanks and healers are always in demand. Boomkins are somew...

Right now self buffed in bear I'm at 25k health, ~26k armor, and the previously mentioned 30 dodge. That's still with mostly level 70 epics. The upgrades are coming faster now, however, and with those will likely come a drop in my dodge...the lowest it can currently go appears to be down to 27 if I dropped my dodge rating altogether. Reviewing gear options going forward, I'm not seeing a whole lot that would contribute more to my dodge percent. If we're talking about a goal of 40 dodge at some point in WotLK, that works out to an additional 400 dodge rating (give or take) and with the exceptio...

Intensity is really point for point a better mana regen talent, especially with the upcoming changes its receiving in 3.1. It will be changed to 50 mana regeneration while casting up from 30.
But if mana regen is a problem, take those last 4 points and put them into Dreamstate and the other point in wherever.-

So, I've been picking up some tanking gear and stuff along the road and I noticed today that some of my stats are totally messed up, especially my hit rating.
I roll with two different sets, one with more avoidance and one with more health. Removing some avoidance proved to be excellent when doing heroics because otherwise I'll dodge too much and lose rage. Anyway, some stats (unfluffed and in bear form):

So back when BC first came out I had a Hunter that I burned through BC with in anticipation of raiding. Gearing myself through Heroics and running some dungeons (Shadow Labyrinth, yuck) like 100 times for the Sonic Spear and found myself loving the experience. It was a challenge, a feat of Heroism to get througfh some of them without a death or tragedy of some kind and getting through a Heroic instance was sometimes tougher than a raid, as even when some raid geared groups would go in and do Slave Pens, Shattered Halls, Shadow Lab or get destroyed. The dungeons in BC were tough, fun, challenging and required skill and experience with the dungeons and your character to get through.
Enter the Lich King, where all forms of CC are thrown by the wayside in favor of AoE tanking, which makes it a breeze to run through every instance in Northrend providing your tank is geared well enough and doesn't have his head so far up his butt that he can't remember to hit the taunt button when something gets away from him (or her), and your healer is equally capable and geared enough (or just not retarded).
So yesterday I get into a few groups with my Healing Druid, one in Auchenai Crypts, one in Mana Tombs and one in Sethekk Halls. I was kinda sad to see that human hunters wasnt an option.. An if it helps i didnt see the Southpark episode til after i started playing. impossible to answer, but i can give strengths...
Dwarf
1 good with guns, if you like guns.
2 slow poisoned by a rogue? stone skin, gets rid of it, handy too
Night elf
1 shadowmeld, especially good in pvp when flag guarding with a prowling cat, no ones knows you are there
2 1 dodge, eh, its okay, you will be overpowered by warriors 1 more, up to you
Draenei
1 racial heal, awesome, saved me and my pet's behind on several occasions, although later on it gimps out, its a heal, 3 min cooldown, free
2 1 to hit, very cool, only a 20 yard radius though, so especially with hawkeye, your pet wont be seeing it much in combat but you will, and 1 to hit is nice, better than 1 dodge impo

1 5 beast damage, wanna go full beast tree? theres an option for ya, a free talent right into it, now that all pets are 2.00 base, it has a bigger effe...

Gota lvl 35 tauren hunter ... been really fun so far ... first charachter on my first MMO so .... it's been a learning experience to say the least ... I took skinning and leather working as my professions wich has proven to be fairly profitable thus far and fairly useful aswell . Only thing is that I did neglect my leatherworking for a little while and concentrated on quests and getting my level up , I kinda regret that now as , I have spent alot of loot on things I could have made for myself had I kept my leatherworking skill on pace with my leveling .
Pet's : love this aspect of being a hunter ... Took a little while to get the hang of using them without getting into trouble or irratating ohter players (ie : getting too many mobs aggro'd at a time ) This is especially dangerous in a dungeon and I have been advised to keep te pet on passive in target rich enviornments to avoid the pet just chargi...
