Subscribe to the BlogWell My ele shammy is only 55 atm but I bit the bullet and respced early to learn it. From what Ive seen no youannot burn down the mobs before they reh you like a mage, your a hybrid and not supposed to be able to. Keep up LS for dps, flame shk is your friend but dont spam it, part or your dps willome from melee you dont need to kite things around, the biggest differee is you have ALOT of armor and youan heal urself. Sit there let eye of the storm pr and blast away, Ive found at 20% health I let my FS tks and melee kill the mobs most of the time. Remeber that the flametounge gets a bonus from spell damage gear so that will prolly give you more melee dps than WF(debatable and Ill prolly get flamed for saying sh blasphemy). I usually dont bother with searing totem but I havnt been to outlands yet with my shammy Ian assume youll need the extra dps out there sie mobs are alot tougher. Ive also found stonlaw is your friend, when talented it will keeb adds off you long enough to burn them down one at a time. Meh I may be blowing smoke but its just been what Ive found. Let me know if theres better ways or if Im just wrong.
bump. I'm not giving up yet, but I've been disappointed before. I may resp bk to enhae until 70. too bad I sold all my enhae gear lol. I did that to foe myself to try this.
doing some more messing around on hellboars just northwest of thrallmar. ne sluded area. no one ever goes up there. Though I did see a NE rogue there last night, but at least he didn't laugh at me. Took 40 minutes to kill one hell boar lol. Took my axes from about 30 to around 250 on one hellboar 
. Myheesy dps meter isn't the greatest ame in a mod that installs a whole buh of add ons- I mainly got it foroords). My dps seems to be roughly the same. though Ian really pour on dps if I use shks with enhae. I didn't use them mh bause of manaost. But with 5 s shks in elemental, Iould also use a buh of shks if I need to. I still would appriate any ts in spell sequee. using earthbind and gettnig in extra lb's is a pain in the ass. (even though I do similar things with my fire mage- pryo, fb, frost nova, and fb- though fn isn't needed on lower levels, a fire blast will finish em). So I do lb, lb, and maybe have time for one more lb (don't have talents to extend range yet). Fire shk. I have been using searing totem for a little more dps. Fire shk again if still a dent amount of health left. Whh means I'm killing things slow 
. 12 s run time on fire shk. Whh means it's taking over 24 sonds to kill something . These hellboars are 61 btw, and I'm 61. But if Ian get arit, it doesn't take that long. Still think Ian get more dps with enhae, but hopefully I find more equ. I don't have that mh spell damage gear on yet. I'm at 76 spell damage. I still take a serious beating. though I lost around 700 hp's with the different gear. I had around 5100 before, only 300 less than a 60 guildie warrior I was partied with saturday. Now a bit over 4400.
