I was around #3 or so out of 5 dps depending on the fight as there is a good amount of movement as well and Iouldn’t afford theost of living bomb a lot of time and sometimes not even pyroblast.

I think it has tually been done, or at least was unless they hotfixed the buff. Mages were using that buff forrazy high pahwerks and sh.
Here’s a little sret for us mages right now: If we are not aane or maybe frost in 5-mans we will have terrible dps. Too mh of our dps is based onrit (whh right now you are super low on) and spelldmg. Most of ourasts are about 2.5-3 sonds long while many others are using instantasts and dots. Don’t expt to be higher than #3 in a 5man, just don’t. In reality, the only time that dps really matters is on bosses, if youan put out similar numbers to the players you are running with on hero or better (don’tount normal 5mans) bosses, then that is good. Overall, they just die too damn qukly for us to gain anything. Wait until you are in Naxx fighting pahwerk and other similar fights that are dpshks and see how you do there When a fight lasts 45 sonds or 1 minute, you are playing by RNG.
Well, remember Shaman hex is a 30 sondooldown. rit gear isn’t non-existant or that rare, you just have tohoose between haste andrit a lot of the time. i appriate G’s firm stae and unpopular view(here at least). i have voted him up a few times based on hislear points and indisputable fts on this issue. in a room full of “whoa is me” its ne to get a slap in the fe. in the area if PvE, my pally is doing DOUBLE the dmg and almost DOUBLE the survivability, from where i was less than 1 month ago. this is not an exageration. i finallyompleted some neglted SMV 5-man group quests…solo. Kara now feels like your running guildies through ZF. byontrast, my frost mage pretty mh breaks even on dmg sie the pah, maybe a 10% irease in ehange for lesser longevity. pally PvP is where it gets hazy. in BG, i have never felt alass thatan turn the tide of a battle m whether its defending a node 3 on 1, assisting a flag runner, or justlearing the battlefield. in this regard Ret is OP. however, if you stroll into anyompetetive arena(>1500) you will see the balaing in tion.lasses that sp for pvp and tually take the survival and utility talents will humble even the most geared Ret pally. those hunters and druids that try to go toe-to-toe with a Ret pally will get some hurt-pie. likewise, those that exploit theirlasses full range of abilities will be very scessful. the put it inontext: i resp’d my mage to deep aane. Ret pallies are just laughable now. Slow, Barrage, PoM Fireball(or Fireblast), Barrage…he bubbles(as most noobs would). repeat til dead while staying out of range. then you got shammies and their purge…grr

I just figured I made someone mad for saying the PvE mana nerf was not really that bad. Or maybe buase I don’t think we are all that OP in PVP sie theurrent nerfs. It’s not worth sweating the karma trolls but sometimes theyan be annoying.

Uhh ohh…I broke out my hunter tonight in BG’s after not playing him for aouple a months. Mind you I was rusty as hell but it is really interesting to see this from the other side. Mostly any geared pally killed me before Iould get out of a single HoJ. Ian see how thats slightly frustrating for people lol. Ofourse there were some other toughlasses (ough aane mage) and everyone is bursty right now yada yada… but it was interesting seeing how a pally feroll feels from the other side. >_< It seems pally burst ales really extremely with gear. Sort of like warriors. Maybe the aling is where they should look. Average pally: Not to bad, strong but you have ahae. Geared up Pally: Superman. I hope theyan get this all figured out at 80. There is hope !! I just rentlyhanged from Enhae to Elemental after I hit Outlands and got a few quest rewards that would fit that sort of build. I did find it a little slow at lvl61 but kept my eye out in the AH for some +spell dmg aster mail.. as well as pking up some dent quest blues from Hellfirehains. Oe my +dmg and mana pool went up, things started to speed up as I didn’t have to throw so many spells out for kill. I guess the normal rotation would be (this is just what I use so might not be the best) Max range Lb (using trinketO rialEle Masteryooldowns if they’re up) Startasting 2nd LB as soon as the D tks Frost shk 3rd Lb (It may get interrupted a little as the mob will be on you but I am dropping points into the extra 6 yardsasting range so am hoping this helps stop that) Now depending on how many hps the mob has (i.e have youritted) I will sometimes drop a flame totem and flame shk.. then either use my dagger with flametongue dmg or more lbs. Being Resto sp, It is a little irritating trying to kill stuff, however: If you look at the gear I have on now hk my Sig), it is my Ele gear that allows me to put out some pretty dent DPS, and if I getrits thingsan die in 4-5 LB hits. My Sequee is: Drop Searing Totemast LBast LB EarthFlame Shk (depending onastermelee)ast LB ESFS (due to theast interuptions its offD)ast LB Mob Dies If your Full resto and have Earth Shield, it really makes a differee, as your not having to worry about healing yourself at all, and it has the 30% reists interupts efft.

Well My ele shammy is only 55 atm but I bit the bullet and respced early to learn it. From what Ive seen no youannot burn down the mobs before they reh you like a mage, your a hybrid and not supposed to be able to. Keep up LS for dps, flame shk is your friend but dont spam it, part or your dps willome from melee you dont need to kite things around, the biggest differee is you have ALOT of armor and youan heal urself. Sit there let eye of the storm pr and blast away, Ive found at 20% health I let my FS tks and melee kill the mobs most of the time. Remeber that the flametounge gets a bonus from spell damage gear so that will prolly give you more melee dps than WF(debatable and Ill prolly get flamed for saying sh blasphemy). I usually dont bother with searing totem but I havnt been to outlands yet with my shammy Ian assume youll need the extra dps out there sie mobs are alot tougher. Ive also found stonlaw is your friend, when talented it will keeb adds off you long enough to burn them down one at a time. Meh I may be blowing smoke but its just been what Ive found. Let me know if theres better ways or if Im just wrong.

doing some more messing around on hellboars just northwest of thrallmar. ne sluded area. no one ever goes up there. Though I did see a NE rogue there last night, but at least he didn’t laugh at me. Took 40 minutes to kill one hell boar lol. Took my axes from about 30 to around 250 on one hellboar . Myheesy dps meter isn’t the greatest ame in a mod that installs a whole buh of add ons- I mainly got it foroords). My dps seems to be roughly the same. though Ian really pour on dps if I use shks with enhae. I didn’t use them mh bause of manaost. But with 5 s shks in elemental, Iould also use a buh of shks if I need to. I still would appriate any ts in spell sequee. using earthbind and gettnig in extra lb’s is a pain in the ass. (even though I do similar things with my fire mage- pryo, fb, frost nova, and fb- though fn isn’t needed on lower levels, a fire blast will finish em). So I do lb, lb, and maybe have time for one more lb (don’t have talents to extend range yet). Fire shk. I have been using searing totem for a little more dps. Fire shk again if still a dent amount of health left. Whh means I’m killing things slow . 12 s run time on fire shk. Whh means it’s taking over 24 sonds to kill something . These hellboars are 61 btw, and I’m 61. But if Ian get arit, it doesn’t take that long. Still think Ian get more dps with enhae, but hopefully I find more equ. I don’t have that mh spell damage gear on yet. I’m at 76 spell damage. I still take a serious beating. though I lost around 700 hp’s with the different gear. I had around 5100 before, only 300 less than a 60 guildie warrior I was partied with saturday. Now a bit over 4400.

hmm thought i had a pretty standard ua build, i will look at that one, and i also have an update. ran my first hero the other night, Mh, made it all the way to final boss andleared it too. wed twe, oe at nethermaer and oe o last boss. EDIT: looked at the build you linked, i would liek to stay affltion, not go demo or destro. whats so weird abotu my Ua build? Lk of supression maybe? but my dots dotn get resisted too often, i alreayd have 100 spell hit.ant really think of anything else other than i missed shadow burn in destro.

It’s one I have spent a long time tweaking to my own personal preferee. It may not be DPS-tast or top any damage meters, but with it I KNOW, given the way I play, I will stay alive, as will my group. Eh to their own, eh, Oaken. )
00 Demon Resiliee (oh!) 23 Demon Knowledge 45 Demon Tts 33 Mana Feed + 22 Improved Life Tap (serious pet mana regeneration going on there) Indeed, I’m not even in Heros yet and I think it’s a bit odd. I’d take two points from Mana Feed and max out Demon Tts and Demon Knowledge. Ofourse, I’d also take the three points from Soul Shon and Improved Drain Soul and put into Demon Resiliee. Really helps with the Felguard’s survivability. Don’t know if Shadowburn is worth it if you’re not into PvP mh.
Again, I see the utter log in that, Mazra. I’ve played and played and played (to the tune of several hundred gold!). This build suits me – and I KNOW it’s a weird set up for Demo. Nor have I finished tweaking. )

I’m finding it very hard to give up herbalism for tailoring myself. Ofourse the whole limited to only two professions still bothers me after this long (played way too many MMOs before WoW that didn’t have that limitation). I’ll be getting the BoEs ofourse, but while the FSW is very ne, Ian understand the painaused by the thought of giving up a “hundreds of gold a day fromasual play” profession. So my question is: Are there any healthy alternatives to the FSW set?
i got 40 sp dmg to my spellblad,e still runnign for off hand and rest of d3 oblivion set. reason i refuse to dropminign is this, it makes me money for my ep fley, and WOTLK isomign eventually, and there will be new thigns to mine and new engineerign things to make, so i will need minign w expansion, en if it is far off. i now have 705 unbuffed damage and i think 68 hit rating. i hope i am ready for most of the heros, at least slave pens.
I ran my first Hero the other day. Yes, it was only Mana Tombs, but we walked the tr to the end boss. Fell down there.Ouldn’t take him. Oh and a funny little story about questing in Wetlands last night. I was running to the brah to the Highlands and seen the dreaded red letter toon, no suprise he was a lv?? to me. I had VW out from questing, so I turn around and run likerazy. Big suprise, this ganker is a Rogue. He sprints and gains on me. He must have the PvP boots, bause heaught up to me while running. I bubble shield by using my VW. I’m at like 10 HP left with a shield. I dide toast fear. It LANDED, he’s running all over. I laugh(ed) at him, and bye. Then made it to the ‘saftey?’ of the town. Advoided my 1st PvP gankage (with this toon).
It should attk him not you…although sometimes they might aggro on to you too.

Youan’tontrol them oe they’re feared but if you’relose to aliff or on a sh theyan run off.

I believe the “pre” would be in the silver for rebuying – I forgot how they addressed that, but ii it’s not horribly expensive. I think you do rebuy them, but at a highly diounted pre – 99% sure this is right (someone who knows the ext mhans plsorrt me). Know this before going Felguard: You must support him. It’s well worth it for me, but for other lks – they hate it. You must get mana feed – maybe 13, 23 – or 33 like me. And imho you must adjust your play to drain hunting to keep the Felg full. I do demoaff to max my draining and dots, bause most of my fighting is that, esp pve. Get any talent that amps up the Felg’s ability to survive and ireases his damage (and mana pool). Also max out the … gah, forgot the name – the one we use to hurt ourselves and heal our pets. That’s how you heal him. You do want that sp. The Felg is awesome, but you must know how to use him right – or you’ll hate him. Seah for moreomplete diussions in this forum. Also, know that if he gets banished, you’re gimped for a while. When you see a lkoming near you, go for him. Save until he’sasting “banish” – he’ll have trouble getting it off w your Felg on him – and that’s when you him. When the lk you don’t see banishes your Felg, that’s when it’s a good time to go very defensive – or get out of range if youan – or just do what youan.

I am respcing every 2 weeks or so, just to put 2-3 points here or there, but I always keep 41 at least in demo and I never had to buy my felguards abilities again. ant say what happens if you go affltion or destro for a while and then bk to demo, but shouldnt be mh different, I mean respcing is respcing right? You loose your pet the moment you resp. Though I remember the time when it wasnt so…
